Description
According to official French regulations, all vehicles must have at least one alcohol tester since 1 July 2012. This also applies to foreign vehicles, i.e. vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, campers and lorries.
The alcohol testers for France must be certified with the NF quality mark (Norme Française). Our alcohol testers comply with the NF X20-702 standard.
It is mandatory to have one alcohol tester with you in the vehicle at all times. It is therefore recommended to have two alcohol testers with you, when you have used one, you will have one alcohol tester left.
The maximum permitted blood alcohol level is 0.5 per mille. For drivers who have held a driving licence for less than three years, the legal limit is 0.2 per mille.
